There Is Something In The Castle

You have always lived in the castle, and the castle has always kept you safe. Until you wake in the night, certain of neither the hour nor the reason, but of this:

There is SOMETHING in the castle.

THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE CASTLE is a short-form storytelling horror game about a familiar place haunted by an unfamiliar presence. Wander the rooms of your castle, converse with its inhabitants, and discover clues about SOMETHING else that lurks there. Play it by yourself, with a friend, or with a group! And, of course, play it in the dark.

Originally written for the paper and pixel zine exchange on tumblr, over the span of about three weeks, with mechanics partially inspired by DARK FORT and ye olde procedurally-generated dungeon crawlers.

As of right now, this game is still in development limbo, so feel free to ignore anything that makes no damn sense or just doesn't work for you, personally (and please let me know what it was).
